Designed by architect Sean Godsell, this is a deeply personal project — a home for erbauer™'s founder and his family on a windswept plot at one of Victoria's most elemental coastlines.

The brief was deliberately spare: a single-level, off-grid cabin, entirely self-sufficient and shaped by its landscape rather than imposed upon it. Godsell's response is an engawa-inspired house in which architecture steps back and lets nature lead — a rare and considered act of restraint from one of Australia's most significant architects.

Currently in schematic design and heading toward town planning, the project will be included in Godsell's submission to a Japanese architectural exhibition in 2026. erbauer™ will deliver the build
